The AIL 757 uses an external GPIB box, like the Tracking Generator. The rear
connectors are Blue Ribbon for Data In and Data Out which are parallel data, as
I remember. My manual has no info about the GPIB.

BTW, the IF output of AIL analyzers at about 227 MHz can be down converted and
demodulated (by a DEI R-1037 for example) to make a phase locked down converter
for a receiver that covers from 1 MHz to 22 GHz, which is kinda fun. There is an
AIL option for this feature, but if you don't have it, all you need is some hard
line and a Narda directional coupler.
