I have 10 of the Shure 55 Series microphones. They are excellent classic mics and work very well with state-of-the-art amateur tranceivers. I see them listed for sale at hamfest and ebay in the range of $75 to $150, depending on condition. The audio quality is excellent, full and robust, and with the selectable impedance, they will match just about anything.
