MFJ Items For Sale -- "Amplifier Saver", HF Antenna Tuner,
Coax Switches, CW Keyers, Wall Wart, HT Speaker Microphones
MFJ 216 Deluxe "Amplifier Saver":
Amplifier Saver lets you safely tune up your linear amplifier
for full power output and best linearity. It protects your
expensive amplifier during tune-ups from over-heating, tube
damage, power supply stress and arc-over. MFJs innovative
pulse tuning technology lets you tune your amplifier at full
peak output power. It can also be used to evaluate wattmeters
and QSK systems.
It plugs into your rigs CW key jack. Simply press Pulse Tune
button and tune your amplifier normally for maximum power
output. It has Duty Cycle and Pulse Rate controls on front
panel, and is in a fully shielded all metal case. Uses 9 V
battery and measures a compact 3 1/4 x 1 1/4 x 4 inches.
This unit works fine and looks very close to new. MFJ sells
these for $80. But this one for $60.
MFJ 941 E HF Antenna Tuner
MFJ 941 E antenna tuner for 160 thru 10 meters
This tuner has a "cross needle" SWR bridge built into
it, so one can read both forward power, reflected power,
and SWR at the same time. The meter has a switched back
light, assuming 12 Volts is applied to the tuner. The
wattmeter portion will read either 30 W or 300 W full
scale, either peak or average power.
An antenna switch will switch between either balanced
line, two coax antennas, or an external dummy load.
Antennas can be operated thru the tuner, or the tuner
can be bypassed. This tuner will operate on 160 thru
10 meters, including the WARC bands.
This particular unit works 100%. It looks extremely nice.
I can not find a scratch on it.
Paper work is included for $110.
MFJ "Strip Line" Coaxial antenna switches:
Both of these antenna switches are in a heavy diecast housing
that utilizes "stripline" construction to keep the impedance
very close to 50 ohms. It also permits good operation at
higher frequencies up to 500 MHz, and gives over 50 db
isolation. Unused antenna are grounded, with an additional
position to ground all antennas. SO-239 connectors.
MFJ 1704 Coax Switch
Will switch up to 4 antennas. It works fine and looks close
to new. $55
MFJ 1702 B Coax Switch
Switches 2 antennas. This one works 100% and looks great
also. $24
MFJ 8043 Electronic Keyer:
This is an electronic keyer that uses the Curtis 8043
Keyer IC. It has speed, weight, tone, and volume
adjustments.
It is capable of fully automatic or semiautomatic (like
a bug) operation. Also, it can emit a solid "key down"
for tuning up. It works with tube or solid state transceivers.
It has sidetone with a front panel volume and tone control.
Weighting is adjustable from the front panel. It can be
powered via four internal C cells or an external 6 to
9 volt DC power supply.
The styling of this unit is the wood grain and eggshell color
that TenTec used with their early equipment. TenTec made
the enclosure for MFJ, so it is an exact match.
This particular unit looks really great, and of course
it works. Paper work is included for $35.
MFJ 407 B Electronic Keyer:
This is an electronic keyer that uses the Curtis 8044 ABM
Keyer IC. It has TONE, VOL, WEIGHT and SPEED
adjustments. It is capable of fully automatic or
semiautomatic (like a bug) operation. Also, it can emit
a solid "key down" for tuning up. It works with tube or
solid state transceivers. It has sidetone with a front
panel volume and tone control. Weighting is adjustable
from the front panel. Iambic switch on the back selects
Iambic keyer mode. It can be powered via an internal
9 v battery or an external power supply.
This particular unit looks really great, and of course
it works. Paper work is included for $40.
MFJ 1312 Wall Wart power supply
This unit provides 12 V DC at 500 ma. It has a small 2.5
mm male plug, and is often used for keyers, lighting tuner
lights, and other small misc jobs where 12 V DC at low
current is needed. $10
Cables for CW keys and keyers:
Cable for paddles
About 3 feet long, and with a 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) stereo
connector on the end, like used by most rigs. $8
As above, but 1/4 inch plug. $8
