[MFJ-Ameritron] MFJ-949D

    How do you aline a MFJ-949D? A friend gave it to me saying it doesn't
work any more. Looks like there was to much RF or a large mis-match dumped
into it. I replaced a bypass capacitor and a SO-239. Now I need to aline it
including the meter readings.

    BTW, I have just ordered a MFJ-969 from R&L. Want to fix the MFJ-949D to
use portable at an old cabin that a friend (KD4CQW) has up in the mountains
of Nelson Country, Virginia. Want a vacation away from it all? Come on up,
no electricity, water or path, hi hi.

    I also gave KD4CQW my MFJ-949E to use with his station at home. This is
not the same person that screwed up the 949D.
