[MFJ-Ameritron] How to measure the Q with MFJ66

Hi,

I got the MFJ66 for measuring the Q of my traps. I built a RF probe and=20
followed the steps indicated by the manual to measure the Q however the=20
results are a little bit odd because quite different from the numbers=20
calculated theoretically by a program (when I mean quite different is=20
around half or one third). For instance, I'm trying to measure the Q of a=20
coax trap. According to the calculus it should around 50-60 however I'm=20
obtaining values around 30 and for a normal trap (with inductance +=20
external capacitor), the values calculated show Q=3D200 but in the measuring=
=20
process I do not get more than 100.

Is there any consideration in order to use the RF probe with the MFJ66 that=
=20
was missed in the manual?

Any help will be highly appreciated
