[MFJ-Ameritron] Can I connect a 1714 antenna into an Icom T2H-Sport or Icom V8?

It looks like both the IC-V8 and the MFJ-1714 use BNC connectors, so it
should be a nice match up. A friend has an IC-V8 and it's a nice radio. The
only drawback as I see it is there is no provision to use an external power
supply. I'm not familiar with the T2H-Sport, but if it uses a BNC antenna
connector, the MFJ antenna will be A-OK.
