I finally got my 969 and did everything I was told or read to do including 
running a 12VDC power to the back of the tuner. I must say its was worth 
ever $ I paid for it. I'm in a very limited space area and I strung up a 
dipole only 30ft each leg. With the tuner I can tune with ease all the HF 
bands . And I have no problems getting contacts with the way the dipole is 
strung on the roof. And believe me you should see how I zig-zagged this 
antenna to fit the roof of the house.

I'm not sorry that I bought this tuner, the only thing i'm sorry about is 
not buying one sooner.
