[Meteor-Scatter] WSJT/win XP troubles

Sorry for bandwidth.......
but i wonder if any of you has had any trouble
with windows XP like this:
after I installed the SP2 of XP when running
WSJT (either FSK or JT65) often the system stops
and shows an error suggesting to obtain the
new update of WDMAUD.SYS driver.....
I tried hard on finding the solution consulting the Microsoft web-pages
but it seems a "circular problem" because they suggest to install the
SP2 !!!!!!
Can anybody help me???
