[Meteor-Scatter] M/S New comer !

Dear all,

I'm a new comer on that Meteor Scatter groups. I've been enjoying
hamradio hobby for almost 7 years now. After a while spent on HF
DX'ing almost everything in CW/SSB modes, I'd like to be back on VHF
track and concentrate my experiments on the 2 meter band, especially
with M/S mode. I'd like to take that opportunity to ask you some
questions:

1/ What would be the best station equipment to start doing M/S QSO's? (pwr?)

I plan to be on the air with a TS - 570 with a 28 MHz -> 144 MHz
homemade transverter.

2/ About antennas. What would you think of a 11 ele for the 2 meters
with a 20dB masthead preamplifier?

Any comments / inputs would be greatly appreciated!!
