              2005 ITALIAN ACTIVITY CONTEST

Starting on January the 1st until December 31st 2005, it is issued an
activity contest
 to be held on  VHF-UHF-SHF-EHF  bands with the following rules:
Participants: all licensed OM/SWL.
Single entry (Fixed/portable, SSB/CW) – single log.
Timings : 	17.00 - 21.00 UTC (April - October) 
18.00 - 22.00 UTC (November - March)
1st Tuesday of the month
VHF 144  MHz              SSB/CW      1 (CEPT A/B) 1 SWL
2nd Tuesday of the month
UHF  432  MHz              SSB/CW      2 (CEPT A/B) 2 SWL
3rd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
SHF   1296 – 2304 MHz SSB/CW    3 (CEPT A/B) 3 SWL
EHF    5 – 10 – 24  GHz SSB/CW    4 (CEPT A/B) 4 SWL
In this section only the same station can be contacted in both days on
the same band.
2nd Thursday of the month.
50 MHz     SSB/CW     5 (CEPT A/B) 5 SWL (Italian Stations)
50 MHz     SSB/CW     6 (CEPT A/B) 6 SWL ( Non -Italian Stations)
Contacts
All 2 way contacts made according to the band plan rules are valid.
QSO made via EME/Satellites/Transponders or terrestrial repeaters do not
count for points.
50 MHz band calling frequencies are 50.095 (± 5 Khz) for  CW , 50.150
and upwards 
for SSB.
In the 50-144-432 Mhz sections, the same station cannot be contacted
more than once 
on each band in each activity contest day.
Reports
Participants must exchange the RST and the full WW locator (6 digits,
i.e. JN61FS)
Score
1 point for every kilometer (QRB) multiplied for total QSO number on
each band makes 
the monthly score for that band. Final score is the sum of all monthly
score divied for each band
Example: January 50 Mhz Activity – QSO nr 35, total QRB 1.000 kms =
Monthly score 35 x 1.000 
= 35.000 points.   Final 50 Mhz score (Jan score+Feb+March etc).

Prizes
On 50, 144,432,1296 Mhz and up, first 3 places and 1st SWL on each band
will be awarded.
Regarding 50 Mhz section 6 (CEPT A/B) and 6 SWL, there will be separate
score list for 
non-I stations, the first 3 OMs and 1st SWL will be awarded.
If a station results as the winner for 2 years in a row, same category,
same band, for the 
last one it will be in the score list but is not eligible for a prize
Radioamateurs who are 
not members to a recognized by IARU association, will be on the score
list but are not 
eligible for a prize. For everything not mentioned, IARU contest rules
for VHF/UHF/SHF are valid.

Deadline, the end of month (i.e. the January activity logs must be sent
not later than the 31st ).
