AW: [Meteor-Scatter] MS Procedures

"Good old days"....Yes Sebastian, let's find a way back to the roots with
the good old spark transmitters or at least AM mode. I often call CQ in AM
mode on 2m but nobody answers. That's all because of this damned SSB that
came up.

But let me be serious again: WSJT has no doubt increased the activity on the
2 m bands and up. I'm always impressed by its efficiency in MS and EME
propagations. One side effect is the cluster QRM that I'm also not very
happy with. But though, a message such as "I call you on .375 1st" has by
far more benefit for me that the stupid cluster mesages when station A
announces that station B a mere 100 km distant comes in with 59++ on 2m. The
latter is of no info for me, the first gives me at least the opportunity to
listen into the sked.

I made my first MS QSO back in 1977, with 300 LPM, modified tape recorder
and no MSDSP or DTR assistance. So if I wanted the "gold old times" back -
which weren't as good as many people think, only with regard to the birdie
situation - it would be by far more understandable. But I'm certainly not.
