Activity from ZA (Albania): May 22 - June 4
After long preparations our DX-group will try to be QRV this year from
"Wanted DXCC nr. 1 " on VHF.
Operators are: ZA/PE1LWT, Jurgen and ZA/PA2CHR, Chris and our QTH will be
near Durres (JN91).
We take our portable 4 yagi station with us for 2 mtr, QRV in SSB, CW, FSK
and JT65
If possible we are also QRV on 70 cm. and 6 mtr.
During previous DX-peditions we found out that >80% of our QSO's were made
random.
This proved CW works very well, but we will see what happens this time if we
also use the JT-mode.
Because EME is a challenge for us , our emphasis will be put on CW for the
>2 yagi and >1kw stations, and for JT-mode <2 yagi <1kw stations.
Sked's are possible, but only after arriving, we don't know the local
situation yet.
During all operations we transmit the first periode.
We like to have contact with one of the real time eme loggers, but until now
we dont have find a good solution for it. Anyone on this reflector with a
good idea and can help us? GPRS is not supported in Albania as far as we
know.
We are still looking for one extra operator with DX-pedition-experience.
And also for sponsors for:
- The cost of petrol of our car (the trip is >4500 km) and the generator.
- The special QSL
- A Pactor-controller to send our info to internet
- Additional costs like hotel etc.
Thanks to EA6VQ for sponsoring VQ-log to our club PI9CM and Linear Amp UK
for a 70 cm. PA.
Hope to work a lot of you, best 73's from:
Jurgen, PE1LWT and Chris, PA2CHR (Members of the PI9CM DX-group)
