Hi Steven,
welcome to meteorscatter with FSK441. You don't mention on which band you
will be active but if it is 144MHz, I recommend you to use FSK441A (or the
'old' FSK) as it is the main (basically only) mode used in Europe. Many of
us have tried FSK441B & FSK441C but (on 144) not found any advantages to
them. Add to this that there are many, many stations QRV and the
introduction of new modes only adds confusion. The calling frequency is
144.370. Some of us are considering setting up different calling
frequencies for the B&C modes but since we have not determined them to be
'better', there is no interest for that quite yet.
FSK441B & FSK441C are really only used during skeds by those wanting to
experience the difference.
I cannot give you any info for the other bands as I only operate 144.
What I would suggest to you is to come to
http://www.on4kst.com/chat/start.php and go to the chatpage for the band
you like to work on. There are usually many people around for skeds but
also for answering questions or exchanging information.
If you want a sked sometime, let me know or meet me on the ON4KST 144MHz page.
