Hi All ,

I found something odd on my system wich may explain my pb's with wsjt (
not sure as I had no test on WSJT since). By using Spectran software I was
able to see on a weak beacon , that when I put a 10 db pad between
converter and RX , I can see the beacon on spectran screen , but I cannot
when the pad is not there , so it is an AGC problem . this problem in not
noticeable on CW or SSB , but on very short pings AGC behaves poorly .
I'll try again to run WSJT this evening , but I think things probably
improved . Using spectran it was also easy to see my sound board is not
noisy as I thougth at first. I still have one pb wich is : a birdie
created by the laptop exactly on 144370 (!). My RTC is drifting quite fast
too , and I have no internet in my shack , so no way to update time
easilly , it is not much of a problem with FSK441 , but will be one with
JT44 . I think I recall one sotware , not using internet , exist to
compensate for RTC drift . You tell the right time to the software , let
the PC run for some time , give the right time again to the PC and a
resident pgm compensates the drift. But maybe I don't recall right?
Tnx for help.
