You're trying to make it too difficult !

Best thing when you have a period you want to save for your posterior is to
hit "Save last". This will keep your wav file. You retrieve it by
"file">"open". In that area you will find some demos saved by the author.

Perhaps the most important point is that you should not be interested in
G4LOH. That is NOT meteor scatter. You want to listen for the guy at the
other end.
