Hej Gran,

Some short thoughts on this (I am now in my 36th Geminides:-))
The question is NOT silly, I only wish that ALL new stations would inform
themselves before they continue to QRM...
The same problem you mentioned, happens to me after so many years, but I
stop TXing immediately, because continue of the call could certainly make
QRM.
If you hear the station that you want to work frequently, for example 1 or 2
times each period, then it is wise to stay on freq en wait until you copy
his RRR message;
I feel safe to call that station as soon as I copy his RRR, because it says
to me that he has all info he needs for a valid QSO.
If you hear bursts just occasionally, then you could do two things: either
the same like above but you might miss the RRR, or return to the CQ freq and
hope for another CQ from that station.
If I really want such station, I do both actions, but I have 2 receivers and
2PC's with decoding software, so I monitor both freq :-)

Good luck and hope to work you!

As a newbee in MS I am entiteled to ask silly questions. HI.

When calling some stn's yesterday in BCC I realized that the
station i was calling is in the middel of another QSO.
 "xx1yy aa2bb R27" or somthing like that.
What is standard procedure if this happens?
-Contiue calling. ( to tailend)
-Wait x minutes then call again ( to tailend and not QRM.)
-Go back to cq freq. and see when he goes CQ again or finding another stn.
