It sounds a little **out there** but a piece of outer space may have landed
in a restaurant drive-through lane in Great Falls this morning.
The fire department was called to the Tenth Avenue South Dairy Queen after
word of an explosion.
Several eyewitnesses reported seeing a bright flash and an object striking
the ground breaking up some of the asphalt.
Manager Joanna Stone believes it could have been a fragment of a meteor.
Joanna Stone: "I was sitting down at lunch and I saw the big red flash
behind me and I heard this big boom and it scared me and it made my heart
skip and it made by adrenaline go a little bit"
No one was injured in the incident although the power was knocked out for
about a minute.
If there was a meteor, it has not yet been found.
