[Meteor-Scatter] PTT on IC 746 on 144 Mhz.

On the IC 746, pin 3 (HSEND) of ACC(1) will activate the transmit function 
only on  HF/50 Mhz as stated on page 72 of the manual (and as I found out by 
trying it on 144 Mhz).  Are there any work arounds for this?  I suppose I 
could attach my PTT line from the interface to pin 5 of the microphone 
socket, but that means another loose wire into the front of the IC 746.  Any 
thoughts?
