There will be several MESH nodes at the off ramp as well. Access to the backbone management software, camera system and services are available on the web. While our longest link of 55 miles is between Red Lion Pennsylvania and Frederick Maryland, on two mountain tops with towers on both ends, the Berryville link is special. What makes the Berryville link special is that it covers a distance of 30 mile between temporary, ad-hoc and completely portable masts. This demonstration is an example of what can be accomplished with minimal Line-of-site while still providing high data rates. A screen capture of the backbone management software is attached. We have VoIP phones and cameras at several large backbone locations, but have set up two temporary cameras for the Berryville link. You can view these in your web browser at: http://173.166.180.188:7080/live-view id: video at maipn.com pw: guest Keith From ljfish1 at comcast.net Wed Aug 5 21:47:57 2015 From: ljfish1 at comcast.net (Jeff Fishman) Date: Wed, 5 Aug 2015 21:47:57 -0400 Subject: [MDC-EC] Tour de Frederick SAG hams still needed! Message-ID: <005501d0cfe9$eb9cdd40$c2d697c0$@comcast.net> We still are in need of 4-6 more hams to ride in SAG vehicles for the Tour de Frederick on Aug. 15th. This a major public service event with more than 600 riders! For the SAG vehicles, you'll be riding shotgun with a race volunteer, and you'll need a 2M rig with a cigarette lighter/accessory plug and a mag mount antenna. If you don't have a mag mount, the club has 3 to lend. We're looking for 1-2 hams per shift per route. ARES membership is not a requirement to participate. Deployments will be from the Delaplaine Center, 40 South Carroll St., Frederick. Shifts are: 100 mile route 0600-1130 1130-1500 60 mile route 0630-1100 1100-1500 Please let me know if you're available or have any questions. However, here are directions. Valley Road is a dead end street at the north end of the old fairground property. Probably coming from the Boonsboro area it is best to get to Locust Street and proceed on Locust to Fairground Ave. Turn right onto Fairground and cross Mulberry St. Take the first left which is Cross Street and go a short distance to Valley Road. Turn right onto Valley. I don't know the house number but it is a duplex on the right side of the street that has a tower and a paved parking pad immediately next to the house. I believe it is the first house. Of course 94 will be monitored for directions. I will let you know when and if Mike agrees to the Friday night visit. 73 Butch M. E.
