[MDC-EC] Packet nets

I am looking into establishing a monthly packet net here in Frederick County. We would probably use AX 25 basic protocol and point-to-point to start, and work up to more advanced modes in the near future. The idea is to get our Emcomm folks some practice for passing digital traffic between Red Cross shelters, hospitals, EOC, etc., in emergencies.

If you have experience in VHF packet nets, please let me know how you recommend establishing and running this type of thing. Thanks.
