Comments:
Allegany County: Jim Robison KB3JRW - Administration. Jim has been on board
with us for several years and does an outstanding job in handling much of
the clerical and public relations work for our unit. He will be continuing
in that role as well as serving an appointment as PIO. Ken Currence N0BSD -
Operations. Ken for several years worked with our mobile assets. His role
will be shifted and broadened to help us get equipment and personnel lined
up for the situations at hand. David Ogden AB3FE - Operations. Dave has
been working with us for several months as a liaison to our local county
Emergency Management Joint Communications team. He has extensive background
in public service radio, repeater systems, and the "nuts and bolts" of the
newer 911 systems here. Besides that, he's just an all around pleasant
fellow! Randy Bennett KB3VJO - Mobile Assets. Randy has been picking up the
development of our AMCOM emergency communications bus, and you will have
heard him and his xyl, Cheri, in recent months as net controls for our
monthly ARES/RACES drills. Terry Bolinger, Jr. WX3M - Repeater Assets.
Terry has many years of experience both as a repeater builder, operator,
and researcher. We are grateful for his continued support of our ARES
program. Barry Wagoner N8WG - West Virginia Liaison. Whereas much of our
local 911 operation as well as various emergency service providers go "back
and forth across the bridge" in mutual aid, Barry helps us keep all that
sorted out. Thanks, Barry! We're looking to expand and fine tune our ARES
unit even more in the months ahead. Thanks for the cooperation from all of
you! You are the people who get it done! Field Day this year will be at
Rocky Gap State Park, I-68 just west of Flintstone, MD (as previously.)
Field Day Chairman Ryan Woods KD8ATF. Talk-in 146.880 PL 123.0 / 145.450 PL
