operators. Had monthly Tuesday night drill on September 21st. All went
well. Thirteen KARS members participated in the drill.
Prince Georges County: Held three regularly scheduled VHF nets on 1st, 2nd
and 3rd Tuesdays. Set up a PRGE ARES display at the Prince George's County
Fair with Homeland Security Sponsor. Provided comms support to the PRGE

nets to prepare for Exercise Capital Shield in October. This will be our
2010 SET. Agreed among members to hold Training Net every Tuesday night
instead of alternate Tuesdays. Monthly meeting changed from 2nd Tuesday to

event was a huge success with over 1,100 participants. We are experiencing
hardware problems with the 146.805 repeater and therefore have suspended
the weekly nets until this system is restored. Our monthly meetings are
held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Oakland Municipal
Building located on 3rd street across from the Pizza Hut.
