Gentlemen;
Here are some things you and your teams can do during the SET:
Digital Net - 3583.5 USB (Olivia / MT-63)
Dave Kleber KB3FXI will be monitoring for any traffic or just
check-ins from his home QTH in Pittsburgh PA. Their SET is planned for
31-October, and Dave would be very appreciative if we could return the
favor by monitoring the same frequency on the last Saturday in October.
MEPN - 3821 LSB
MEPN will be active from around 9:30 until Noon. They'll be looking
forward to handling a lot of traffic!
WRN - 147.060
All Western Region Counties are encouraged to check in to the Western
Region Net on 147.060. This net will be used for inter-county
tactical, resource, and traffic communications.
CRN - 147.105
All Central Region Counties are encouraged to check in to the Central
Region Net on 147.105. This net will be used for inter-county
tactical, resource, and traffic communications.
WinLink
All ARES members are encouraged to operate WinLink during the SET -
especially ECs. It's going to be tough for NTS to get a message to an
EC who's not at home - WinLink solves that problem. It also does a
great job handling regular email.
EchoLink - WASH_DC Server Node 6154
We'll have a net going on the WASH_DC EchoLink Server during the SET,
to test its capabilities as one option for providing inter-Section
communications.
ARES SITREP Forms
Send a couple SITREP forms to myself and our SM Jim WI3N. We'll be
using these in a real emergency to get a better idea what's going on,
and what resource issues need to be addressed. I'll send out the form
separately.
RadioGram Messages
Compose and send a couple RadiGram messages to myself, Jim WI3N, and
other nearby ECs. I'll send out the latest EC Roster separately
ICS-213 Forms
Compose and send a couple ICS-213 messages to myself, Jim WI3N, and
other nearby ECs.
