Amateur Radio Operators will provide radio communications to ensure

stops that remain open for most of the day.
Amateur Radio Operators will shadow the Event Organizer and the Race
Director at the stadium, ride in a vehicle ahead of the lead runner,
and establish a communications net between critical points along the
course, medical and water support stations, and the start/ finish.
Union Memorial Hospital will staff First Aid stations along the course
and Medstar will provide Ambulance service. Water and replacement
drink stations will be located about every mile.
Please pass this along to your ham friends and also mention this
request in your QSO's on air.
