Hi Folks;
Your FSD-212 Monthly reports are due again. League HQ needs these by
the 10th of the month, so please try to get me your inputs NLT Sunday
afternoon. Don't forget to include details about any events your group
supported last month, and especially details about the people who
supported the event, so that they can get some well-deserved credit in
the Section Newsletter.
If you haven't already done so, please send me a listing of all the
frequencies your team uses, so that the MDC Section ICS-205 can be
completed. This info will be made available to all of you so that your
teams know what frequencies to use if they need to assist another
county. The other SECs in the Atlantic Division are also putting
together ICS-205's for their Sections, so that we can support each
other across Section borders if, and when, required.
As part of our preparation for an Atlantic Divison SET, there are
plans being made to conduct communications tests on 60m. Riley K4ZDH
will be coordinating the tests, and all ARES members in the Atlantic
Division will be encouraged to participate. I'll let you know as soon
as dates and times are announced. In the meantime, please spread the
word, and ask your team members if they have 60m capabilities.
We need to establish an HF coordination frequency (and at least one
backup) here in the MDC Section. If you or anyone on your team would
be willing to take the lead in coordinating some tests, please let me
know.
Finally - plans are being prepared for this year's Simulated Emergency
Test, which is going to have elements of coordination at the Division
level. Here in MDC, we'll be working mostly with our good friends
across the border in Delaware. If your team has already made different
SET plans, please let me know ASAP.
