ALLE County K3UEZ:
Early in December the Mountain Amateur Radio Club hosted Jim WB3KAS and Wanda KA3AHI for an interesting session on Winlink operations and medical communications. Our monthly drill had the following stations check in: N3UNM, AB3FE, KB3GCO, KB3WFB, KB3VJO, KD8SLQ, KB3OMY, KB8ISI, KB3TQL, KB3JRW, KK3F, KA3JOY, KB3LYG, and K3UEZ served as net control. Not bad for a holiday month! We also moved some stations off frequency to check into the concurrent Bedford County (PA) net. Our Amcom bus is on the mend after having blown the alternator in a recent parade.

December 12: It has always been difficult for Fort Washington Medical Center radio operators get
into our ARES® Winlink Packet Nodes because of their low elevation location down near the
Potomac River. Peer-to-peer paths were tried and tested and one was found good-to-marginal and
will be tested during the January hospital drill. AA3WS and WB3KAS
