Hi Folks;
Just a reminder that an on-air demonstration of MT-63 has been
arranged with MEMA for this Tuesday evening 08-Feb, after the monthly
RACES drill. Tony KF3AK and I did a checkout of our equipment and
software earlier today, so I think we're going to be successful in
showing how efficient MT-63 is for digital communications. We've got
FLMSG also working, which is a really slick program that works with
FLDIGI to send ICS-213s, NTS Radigrams, and several other common
forms. It also makes printing of received messages easy too, which
means your customers will be able to read them a whole lot easier.
So - if any EOC or Hospital stations would like to participate in this
test, we'll be using the Western Region Net frequency 147.060 MHz,
when the RACES drill concludes.
By the way, it just so happens that there will be a Webinar on
Saturday 26-Feb to discuss how to use FLDIGI and FLWRAP. Here's the
note from Bill Edgar N3LLR:

Saturday, February 26, 2011 ? 10:00am through 12:00pm (EST)
This NBEMS webinar will cover advanced features such as the use of
NBEMS FLWRAP and FLMSG for the use of sending and receiving spread
sheet/database data and form-based messages such as the ICS-213 and
NTS/Radiogram forms. We will also be covering HF digital net procedures
and protocols and hope to incorporate a live HF demonstration that will
be viewable by all those attending the webinar.
Our speakers for this session will be Harry Bloomberg W3YJ, Western
Pennsylvania Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator and Dave Kleber
KB3FXI. Harry and Dave are the developers of this program

FYI -- The Carroll County Hospital Station is looking for SKEDs with
other hospital stations during any of the monthly RACES drills. If
your Hospital Station would like to try a communications test with the
station here in Carroll, please let me know.
