In a report published by the WRTC 2026 Organizing Committee, judges found t= hat the operators of three teams =E2=80=94 MB1I, MB2A, and MB2M =E2=80=94 h= ad their identities deliberately revealed through pre-contest frequency han= doffs, violating a rule intended to prevent competitors from being identifi= ed to outside stations. The committee also found that outside stations used 15 pirated call signs t= o make fraudulent multiplier-enhancing contacts, with the activity dispropo= rtionately benefiting MB2A and MB2M. Contacts with the pirated call signs w= ere removed from all WRTC logs. =C2=A0=20 According to the report, MB2M (operators VE3DZ and UW7LL), the original dec= lared winner of the competition, has been disqualified, as were MB2A (opera= tors US2YW and IK4VET), MB1I (operators E77DX and DJ4MX), and MB5Q (operato= rs RW7K and KU1CW).
