I imagine the law enforcement is aware of the fact that new AR tags are not being issued yet. I think you are supposed to have the registration in your vehicle but it you have both a car and truck AR tag is is more important. When I had my accident in Marysville with my truck, they ran my license plate and it did not come up with my truck. I could kind of tell the officer thought there was a problem and told him that you can have the same AR tag on two vehicles as long as one is a car and the other is a truck. The officer was not aware of this but showing him the registration paper convinced him there was not a problem.
I have a K-tag for both vehicles. Apparently the K-tag computer system does not allow two vehicles with the same license plate “number”. My K-Tag account doesn’t list any vehicle, it just says “multiple vehicles”. I first discovered this issue in 2020 when I got an email asking me to identify the vehicle on one of my K-tags. I couldn’t do it online and when I called them they couldn’t do it either. I have been on the turnpike multiple times this summer with my car but have not driven the truck since the cashless system went live in July. I don’t anticipate it being a problem since it is reading the K-tag not the license plate.

I paid my car tags and taxes in July and still waiting for my ham tag. At that time I was advised there was some sort of problem with them but should be resolved in a couple weeks. Keep your paperwork in the car.

Just wondering if any of you that are before the M's in plates this year, got new plates. I paid the first of the month and did the call to notify them that I did not receive a plate before 2 weeks. I did get my camper plate, but not the Call letter pickup or car with ham. They said " don't worry " about them. But no plates yet, and now I am without a new plate on pickup or car. Dennis
