This is an exert from the SENARC news, and that club has an expert professer in EMP and most interesting.  The reason the big deal of “balloons” in the high atmosphere is the possibility of one of them could be a EMP.  As you know, the tension between China and Russia and the united States is high.  The ability  for someone to put a EMP (bomb that goes off with an electric blast that will immobilize all computers, and anything else over an area of state wide.   With the exception of our old tube type ham gear, but there will be no electric plug in’s. )  Scary      Dennis
