There is an issue of using the same freq., unless Ozankie is not in service.  AS I recall even Marysville was sometimes in trouble when it was on.  The coordinator would probably have a problem with it in Manhattan.  I don’t know how easy it would be to change freq. either, with that rig.   Even Wichita would have some possibility.  It would be depending on antenna’s.    Dennis

Subject: [MCARC] Donation of equipment

This is primarily meant for the Marshall CO ARC membership.

I was talking to WØVMP (Vern Wirka), who is the advisor for KSU Amateur Rado Club call sign WØQQQ, on 40m last week and he had mentioned that the KSU ARC 2m repeater was needing serious attention. Vern has been trying to resurrect the club roster and is doing a good job with several new hams and others ready to take tests. The reason for this note is that I propose that the MCARC donate the 147.06 repeater to KSUARC. This was the "Greenleaf" repeater which we all know has been off the air for many years and is just collecting dust in KFØHS's garage. At one time there was interest in trying to find a home for this in Washington Co. but that did not happen. I did ask Vern if he would be interested in the repeater as a donation and he said yes.

The question for the MCARC members, do you agree with this donation. I have questioned some members to get a feel how they felt and they were all agreeing with my suggestion. I would like to hear from the balance of members.
