I remember in my younger years like you that whenever you went to a bigger community like Kobe or Hayes there was two testers in just about every store such as grocery store drugstore hardware stores and the like. I remember went to Wichita when I was seven or eight and we went into a drug store called Katz and they had one right by the front door. I would imagine the TV repair guys weren’t real happy with that as that was cutting into their revenue lol. Well I did get a tube tester from the hams in Frankford last name of Harper and here is pictures of it it appeared to be damaged from a drop as they were some hardware that was built under the chassis the face plate was built slightly and the meter movement was not salvageable so I’m working on that.
