Subject: [LarrysList FYI] 2026 World Soccer Tournament Special Event Stations
 UPDATE
User-Agent: GROUPS.IO Web Poster

*To All:*

*I am happy to report that the World Soccer Tournament Special Event Stations in the 16 cities around the U.S., Canada and Mexico are now all in place. We have a key person in each city who will coordinate their local ham operators for scheduling and operating during the event window. Times will vary for which start and end date they will operate from,  --- June 11th to July 19th --- is the window of the overall soccer events.*

*Our key home website will be finished in the next week or two and we can then post its URL to the public. This site will be a Go-To site for all hams world wide. They can see via links on the site what the cities are, what call signs they are working with and actual live times they are on the air.  They can also see, as we upload our ADIF files with our contacts to the home site, which cities they have contacted.  Operators will be given a special link so after they finish their time slot they can upload the ADIF file with contacts for processing.  They just need to contact their host city coordinator for access to the system. Each city will have its own QSL certificate/s as well as some combined certificates generated for example, "Worked All Cities", and others.*

*Unlike other events like 13 Colonies and Route 66 that happen yearly, this event will only take place once here in the US. No telling when the FIFA committee will do this again here. It only happens once ever 4 years and different countries are chosen to host the event. So if you want to be in on the operating side just contact me and I will set you up in the system.*
*It's a work from home, 24/7 on 8 bands and 3 modes.  You choose the time on your schedule and have fun for a couple hours or more.   Our window will be for sure here in KC  from June 16th to July 15th. A nice wall Certificate for helping will be a "Thank You" for your effort.*

*All of the cities are on the same page in that individual hams from our local areas should be asked to help work the event as an operator.  It's not an individual CLUB event but a Community Support Effort.  This event is now taking on world wide exposure and as such not only the hams in the US will be hunting us but people in the 47 other countries that are part of the event will want some QSL cards and Certificates. Not just those 48 countries but my guess we will have over a hundred countries looking to collect some nice QSL's and Wall Displays.*

*I will have a table at the Raytown Ham Fest on Saturday the 25th of this month and will be happy to show more of what is happening. I will have final approval to share all of the info with everyone by then.

You can also sign-up there to help.....!!!*
