To the former Greenleaf repeater members:I have not received any communication (pro or con) regarding donating the cavities to the KSU Amateur Radio Club (W0QQQ). I'm going to assume that no one has any objections to donating the cavities, or no one cares either way. I plan on making a trip to Manhattan next week and would like to deliver this equipment to the KSU ARC. If you have a concern please let me know ASAP.73 AC0IMike

Subject: [MCARC] Greenleaf cavities
I went to Manhattan to visit with N0IN and W0VMP and Vern mentioned he had been working on the W0QQQ repeater (which is the one from greenleaf) as has de-sense problem. He tried to check the cavities and found the adjustments were frozen. He looked at the log for the repeater and discovered they were tuned last by Myron W0PBV (computer science prof from KSU retired) in 1990. Vern was going to apply some solvent on the shafts of the adjusting screws to see if that would help. I did mention to him that the cavities from Greenleaf might be available and I would ask the local hams that were involved with the Greenleaf machine if they would be interested in donating it to KSU ARC. I think it is still out at KF0HS's QTH. If you feel it necessary to meet to discuss please mention so in your response. Tnx & and 73 AC0I
