[MCARC] Here is a bit of a mystery

When I put the equipment for Blue Rapids weather station, I also had to have a dedicated phone line directly to the NWS office in Topeka. In cases where there were no lines, they may have to use radio links. Well another thought, maybe there is a cost factor where the radio link would be cheaper to put in.??? Dennis

I was not sure if the NWS stood for the national weather system or something else. I'm not aware that the NWS stations have 800 MHz but that may be their link to the broadcast tower.
Thanks for your response.

All I can think of is that these are the channel designations to pick up
the NWS stations on the Kansas 800 MHz statewide system. It's likely
they have receivers for each office connected to the system.
Pleasant Hill would cover the Kansas side of the KC Metro area that is
part of the KC NWS office.
