A  Faraday Cage would be like a rig that is wrapped in aluminum foil or other metal conductor (Coper screen), that would protect the rig in the event of the explosion of a new type  of boom like the one that is about in the stratosphere distance and would cover several states .  But not only would it take our out power,  our cars and anything electronic.  Dennis

Build a simplex network in your community. There will be no repeaters if GRID goes down over any length of time. Get back up power for your station and protect your equipment with a faraday cage. Do it now. Hams are ill prepared for when the grid goes down for any length of time.  Repeaters will not be functional and solar, battery power and a simplex network is the answer. Plan, Practice  and prepare.
