The indoor season is here! Time for contests and 
indoor Special Events. There are usually a few warm days
in November and December for antenna work in case you want
to try something out or change support ropes. 

Sky Warn Appreciation Day is an event thought up by 
Scott-N0QE at the Goodland NWS office almost 25 years 
ago to recognize storm spotters. He pitched it to 
management and here we are. The objective is to contact 
as many participating NWS offices as possible in the 
time allowed. A list and other stuff you need is available 
on the NWS website. Takes place Dec 2 from 0000z to 2400z,
Fri 6P to Sat 6P. Have fun with this casual on the air event.

Douglas County ARC was invited by KLWN to be interviewed
about Ham Radio. So Ken,KA0THK; Kevin,AE0MO and Matt, K0TOY
went over and talked radio and the club with host Kim Murphree.

DCARC held a hidden transmitter hunt but did it as a multi-transmitter
pedestrian hunt and a vehicular hunt at the same time, separate foxes.

Two clubs doing Tech classes beginning in January are:
Santa Fe Trail-Jan 6 thru Feb 23. Also teaching code.

Affiliated Club update time.
With most clubs holding elections in the fall and winter
this is a good time to update your club info. 
Need to do this a minimum of every 2 years. Longer than that
and your club may be pulled off and placed on the inactive list
out of view. A currently listed officer may do the annual update
by logging into the ARRL site so it recognizes them.

Click on Edit on the upper Right.
If you don’t find your club please contact me.

Scholarships through the ARRL Foundation are open for submission
until January 10, 2024. The person seeking a scholarship must be
a licensed radio amateur at the time of submission.
