Band conditions on 75 meters have been interesting this summer.
With the solar cycle peaking the short waves have been fun
but at the same time the longer wavelengths have been challenging
at times. Not only poor propagation in general but there have been
some solar storms making it difficult to conduct our section nets.
Things will eventually settle down as the sun progresses
through its cycle but for now we will need to have patience
with 75/80 and relay when required.
Our QSO party is here. I intend to be on the air Saturday
night and Sunday until time runs out. I think Mixed will
be my category, not sure how that will be weighted at this point.
I will be on 40 and 80 with maybe a jaunt down to 20 if I find time to
build a dipole or repair a G5RV that was chewed up. You can work me for
V.O.T.A.
