[MCARC] Rain totals?

As far as I know, the NWS only uses data collected by their own NWS COOP observers like myself and pulling data from CoCoRAHS, both of which use 4 inch diameter analog rain gauges that can actually read to the nearest 5 thousands of an inch but are reported in hundredths of an inch. I don’t know where their rain gauge is but the city of Marysville is a NWS COOP station.

Having said that, the two Davis WX stations in the Waterville area seem to be pretty reliable for rainfall. One of them seems to read barometric pressure much lower than the other and than MYZ.
