Subject: Field Day Survey
Happy New Year! I hope your year is starting off well. Mine has --
even with the snow, wind, and cold in Lincoln.
Many of you are active Field Day participants. Field Day is one of the
most popular and the most publicized ARRL event. We'd like to get your
feedback on some Field Day rules. An online survey has been created to
give members a chance to provide their opinions. In particular:
- Whether or not the Low Power category limit should be 100 W to match
the new ARRL contest rule or remain at 150 W as documented in the FD
rules.
- Whether we keep the waiver to allow Class D (home stations,
commercial power), to other Class D stations to get point credit for the
contacts, as we did in 2020 and 2021
- Whether or not we continue the waiver to limit Class D and Class E
(home stations on emergency power), to Low Power or QRP power only, as
we did in 2021 only.
- Whether or not to continue to allow club aggregate scoring, (allowing
clubs to have some members do FD from home, or in the field, and combine
their scores as a club), as we did for both 2020 and 2021.
- Whether or not to allow to last three answers to be used just for
2022, or for 2022 and beyond.

Thanks for your help!
Hope to see you on the air.
