[MCARC] [Fwd: Winter Heat is Starting Again tonight at 18:00 00:00 Zulu]

I kind of forgot about this going on last year. I think I scanned the
frequency but didn't hear anything. Maybe some better propagation will
come around this year, especially with the storm system moving in
tomorrow evening.

This actually begins tonight at 6 PM (0000z 01 Jan 2023) per:
https://hamactive.com/WH23/index.php and
https://hamactive.com/WH23/Guidelines.php

The latter page shows the designated simplex frequencies. It might not
hurt to put them in the scan list.

73, Nate

Subject: Winter Heat is Starting Again tonight at 18:00 00:00 Zulu

To all of the members of Winter Heat last year I had in my list of Kansas
and Missouri participants here is a letter I sent out to a few of you just
last week.

I'm setting up a better permanent antenna here at home in Overland Park
just East of the downtown area on 78th Ter aty my QTH.
It is a Comet GP-9 dual band which has a great footprint pattern. I should
be able to reach out to many of you directly from here.

I will also be up on the hill at 76th Mission Road by the PV water tower
from time to time, mobile, so from there I can also get a nice footprint
too.

Here is my previously posted E-Mail...

Steve KC0VYS Feel free to text me with your name and callsign so I
can enter into my message list.
For those who might like to participate in a GROUP TEXT message we can
let others know who is out.

All I ask is that you *NOT NOT NOT hit REPLY or REPLY TO AL**L*
for the message as it will send another group
blurb to everyuone,, Hitting reply to answer group messages creats a huge
volume of messages to everyone
and can annoy some people greatly. Just create a different message and
text them directly for replying. By doing this
others can see when you are on and get on *147.525* as our initial
calling frequency.
