[MCARC] 2m contact DX

I was talking to NØQMQ (my cousin who is SW of Hays) and he said that he had worked several 6m FD contacts on an 80m antenna (not the most optimal but the one available) and some hams made comments about 2m being open for long distance contacts. He turned his 50w 2m FM on to 164.52 and heard some one calling CQ FD and when no one seemed to answer him he gave his call and worked a ham in Pennsylvania on 52 simples FM. He said the contact lasted about 2 minutes with lots of fading in and out. I thought this might be of interest to some of you.73 ACØIMIKE
