Farren... I have the cabinet that was at the BV digi. It is in the road and I will drive it down in my pickup today if you like. Call me on the phone 785-562-5674 Dennis P.S. there is a tnc in it and it probably would work, but the radio quit, I have a 12 amp 12volts power supply I will bring to you too if you like. I do have some investment it things but you can have them free......

Subject: [MCARC] Cabinets

All:

Just got off the phone with Rick Stoll again. He was at Lefty's in Marysville getting an oil change and wandered over to the city water tower while he was waiting. He says there are multiple abandoned equipment cabinets sitting under the water tower. Apparently when they re-painted the tower they kicked all the tenets off of it and they took all the equipment but left the cabinets. He opened one and said it was standard 19" rack-mount inside. He said one is stainless-steel. He's guessing one was the school's and one was the county's since they both had repeaters on the water tower before it was painted. None of them belong to BVT so he's not offering them to us -- he's just letting us know they're there.

So, does anyone have any contacts in Marysville that you would be willing to make inquiries about these abandoned cabinets? Perhaps we can get one and use it for the VHF repeater at the Blue Rapids site.

Also, he asked if we were planning to put anything on the MYZ tower and I said "YES! -- hopefully soon."
