[MCARC] MCARC Dues

With the COVID-19 situation we had to abruptly quit meeting for a meal at Landoll Lanes each month.  It is uncertain at this time when we might be able to continue that practice.  One of the important things that has been overlooked in the process is the payment of MCARC dues.  Dues are only $5 but they mostly serve to determine who has voting rights.  I bring this up because there has been some discussion about the possibility of moving the 147.285+ repeater from its current location in Home City to the Blue Rapids tower south of Blue Rapids.  I emphasize “possibility” because we are in an exploration phase and have not yet asked for or obtained the permission from the City of Blue Rapids.

Back to the topic of dues.  There may need to be some voting take place in the future so it is important that you pay dues if you want to be able to cast a vote.  There also may be some expenses incurred so your $5 dues would be welcome even if you have no interest in the repeater situation.

Again dues are $5 annually and can be sent to Mike Stillwell, ACØI, 1110 Elm Street, Marysville, KS  66508.

If you have an interest in helping out with the repeater being relocated to Blue Rapids, it would be helpful if we had a contact list.
