I don’t recall that there was ever a building on that site.  When we had the packet station up there we just had a short cabinet with the equipment.

I just talked to the city clerk and we can call her anytime during the week and she or someone else would let us in.  She did clarify that the city of Blue Rapids owns the tower and BV uses it.  I am almost certain that if we wanted to do something in an evening that Jerry (Mayor) would go up with us.  If it would help, I could arrange to go up there and take some pictures and measurements.

Just as a reminder,  back in late February or early March when this COVID-19 stuff started being a concern, Jerry called me to ask about amateur radio communication capabilities.  I can’t remember the situation he described but Jerry does have some experience with military cooperation with Amateur Radio during a hurricane.
