This apparently has been in existence for a while:

There is a resurgent thread on QRZ.com and while they've been doing the
usual stuff with Raspberry Pi computers, TNC Pi TNCs, and so on, they
now have a very inexpensive KISS TNC that does 1200, 2400, 4800, and
9600 bps:
