Below is a link to a Google Photo album of pictures I took this morning at the Blue Rapids tower site. The fenced in area is 26 ft x 26 ft with a 4 ft gate on the South side. The first picture is taken from the top of the path up to the tower, looking southeast. As I recall, we had the small cabinet with the Packet digipeater setting on the two concrete blocks shown in one of the pictures.
I think the truncated coax feed line is ours. I don’t recall that we ever got any kind of hardline installed.
I talked to Bill Schwindamann, MS County EM, this morning. He does not think MS County has anything on the tower. Dennis had already talked to him so he is aware of our interest in having a repeater on the BR tower.
I told the Blue Rapids City clerk that at this time we are just seeing what ducks we have and whether or not we can get them line up in a row before we make a formal request to the City. When I talked to her last Thursday or Friday, she seemed to already know of our interest. My guess is that the Mayor (Jerry) had already talked to her after I talked to him. FYI - the City Council meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
I hope you can view the pictures w/o having a gmail account.
Dave
