Chuck,
Great job all the way around. Yes, order 500 cards. I am waiting to hear
back from the Governor's office. I will follow up today.

Today, I received a letter from Robert Ripley, Office of the Capitol
Commission approving 20 meters for the March 1 Special Event Station on the
14th Floor of the State Capitol from 12:00 - 5:00 PM. The doors open to the
general public at 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Now the fun begins. (See attachment). I
am hoping we can also have a table near the center information desk using
442.7 for a talkaround town on the main level with a display board and ARRL
information on Ham Clubs and Emergency Communications. I was able to hit the
repeater with just a handheld.
I will try and get an email sent to the Clubs that I have emails for and see
if they can send information on their Club we can handout. I have no idea what
numbers we are looking at since this is the first time doing this event. It
could be an opportune time to promote clubs throughout the midwest. We may try
to get bags from the Convention Visitor's Bureau to put flyers, etc in for
visitors to take home.
Matt, did you have an opportunity to talk to Governor Ricketts regarding
getting the QSL Card and Certificate signed? You should have a copy of the
card and certificate in your emails, if you can get a good copy printed, and
have him sign. Also, are you still wanting 500 QSL cards, now that it is
confirmed we will be at the capitol for 20 meters. Bev hasn't researched the
cost of the cards, but will check the price and will need the signed copy of
the QSL card to email to VistaPrint. We'll talk in the next day or so. I also
submitted an article for the February Lincoln LOG and have been announcing it
on the 12:30 PM Cornhusker Net and 14.265, SATERN Net.. Chuck, KDPTK
