[MCARC] MCARC Keeping in Touch

MCARC has been keeping in touch during the Covid situation in two different ways.  For one, the NØNB 444.350+ repeater has been in operation for a while and KØKSI has been using it to call the Sunday evening ARES Zone 2A net at 9pm local time. Among those that have been checking in are ACØI, NØNB, KEØTK, AKØA (via AllStar Link) and WØMDM.  You do not have to be an ARES participant to check into this net.  NØNB has on several occasions linked the 444.350 repeater and the 147.285+ repeater using an AllStar link.  We continue to learn new glitches with that.

MCARC has also held a Zoom meeting on the 3rd Thursday of the month the last two months.  For the November session Mike Philbrick, NØUDF, hosted the session.  The December session was hosted be Dave Propper, K2DP using the ARRL Midwest Division Zoom account.  K2DP will become the assistant director of the Midwest Division on January 1, 2021.  He will be hosting the sessions for the next 6 months if necessary.  Members that have participated in a Zoom meeting are ACØI, AKØA, KØKSI, KEØTK, NØNB, NØUDF, and WØMDM.

Any amateur is welcome to participate in either of these two activities, whether you are a member of MCARC or not.
