Hello Hams,

At the Zoom meeting this past week, I mentioned I'd been listening on a
Kenwood HF rig. Today, the light bulb came on. I was surveying the messy
shack and trying to mentally picture a new multi-shelf stand for getting a
station set back up after moving across the room. Yes, I didn't think about
electricity along an outside wall, but the move is on anyway.

What I noticed was the Kenwood 2M rig, model TM2570A. It has an 8 pin
microphone and may be a model mc42. It doesn't say this model number on the
mic, but it looks like that model in a manual pdf I found onlinie. The mic
does have 600 ohms readable on the mic case. The manual is also showing the
desk mic 60A. I believe N0NB mentioned this mic and I have been window
shopping. So I am thinking that if a 60A could be used on the 2570 rig then
the MC42 should work on the HF rig. This logic seems reasonable, correct?

Have a great rest of this weekend.
